Wine Districts

DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia

During the second edition of the Milano Wine Week, the city turns into an open-air winery and opens its doors to all the wine lovers through a rich program. The restaurants and the clubs of the central and multicultural district of Porta Venezia offer testing itineraries dedicated to the labels of the Consortium of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a reality with a strong international appeal that attracts buyers, journalists, sommeliers, restaurateurs and wine lovers from all over the world.

Since Roman times, Friuli Venezia Giulia has been a land of viticulture: cultivation and production take place in eight areas with a Controlled Designation of Origin, with a decisive influence on the regional economy. The region produces mainly white wines: there are currently four DOCGs, twelve DOCs, of which three are interregionals and three are IGTs.

During Milano Wine Week, the Art Nouveau streets of the Porta Venezia district will be enriched by the intense aromas of the fine wines of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia consortium.
